“Movement is medicine”. This is a philosophy I try to live by every day. My passion in training is weightlifting, because if you can deadlift or squat twice your bodyweight and keep trying throughout your life, you will be able to do so much more than stand up from a chair in your 80s.
This translates into my passion for keeping people strong, fit and healthy, which if you can’t move, you wont be able to achieve. Whether it is playing with the grandkids, Sunday league footy or achieving new personal best, I have dedicated my career to helping people achieve those goals through treatment and education.
Adam’s experience
Over and above his Masters Degree in Chiropractic from the Anglo European Chiropractic College (in Bournemouth, UK), Adam achieved his undergraduate degree in Sports Biomedicine from the University of Dundee (Scotland). In addition, Adam has done further training in Sports Chiropractic (ICSC, FICS) and is a licentiate of the Sports Faculty of the Royal College of Chiropractors (UK).
Adam has worked in clinics in London and Glasgow, gaining vital experience and competence in managing both sedentary and active office workers and sports injuries in both amateur weekend warriors and elite athletes.
Chiropractic Approach
Adam’s approach is based around the premise of the 7 fundamental movements of life:
Squat
Hinge
Horizontal Push
Horizontal Pull
Vertical Push
Vertical Pull
Carry
If there is a problem in one (or more) of these, it will greatly affect any sports performance, and will eventually start affecting many aspects of daily living. The brain is also the single biggest proponent of power and performance. However, if something hurts or feels off, the brain shuts down the mind-muscle connection to avoid damaging itself, and performance can therefore dramatically decrease. To put it simply if it doesn’t feel right it, won’t move right.
“My passion is to restore full capacity to both old and young, elite and amateur alike”.
Whether you are a weekend warrior, a budding professional or a world class super star, if the body feels 100%, then your performance will follow in kind.
