Who We Are

At Sydney Spine & Sports Clinic, we are leaders in Sydney chiro care with four conveniently located practices across inner and greater Sydney. Our aim is to relieve your pain by focusing on the cause of your problem, not just the symptom.

Accidents, stress, lack of exercise, poor posture, illness or everyday wear and tear can cause the deterioration of your overall physical health. As chiropractors, we treat your physical conditions and the accompanying pain or discomfort with our evidence-based treatments and techniques.

Our Approach to Treatment

Our best evidence approach to Sydney chiro care is available in four convenient locations across the city.

Backed by twenty years of experience, Sydney Spine and Sports Clinic delivers the highest standard of ethical diagnosis and patient care.

We utilise the latest pain-free techniques from industry-leading research, including:

  • Motorised Flexion Distraction Therapy (sometimes referred to as Spinal Disc Decompression Therapy) – this is a doctor controlled traction technique able to be applied to a specific level of the spine.

  • Diversified Chiropractic Technique – this addresses the bio-mechanical dysfunction (or joint injury) in each section of the spine. It is characterised by a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust which is safe, painless and effective.

  • Activator Device Adjusting – this instrument is used to adjust areas of injury or joint dysfunction without applying a more forceful manual manipulation to the spine. It can be used on anyone’s spine – from newborn babies to senior citizens – and is very safe, gentle, and effective.

  • Muscle Release and Trigger Point Release Techniques (including stretching) – this aims to reduce muscular tensions throughout the body.

  • Myofascial Dry Needling (otherwise known as ‘Western Acupuncture’) – this involves inserting acupuncture needles into specific points in the muscle to induce muscular relaxation.

  • Postural Retraining and Rehabilitation – we assist you to achieve longer, and lasting results by advising you on how to improve your workstation ergonomics and day-to-day posture.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • It all depends on the complexity of your injury, and how long you have had the injury for, which will dictate how long each session needs to be.

  • In Australia, you can pay anything from $60 - $160 per session, but obviously longer appointments which involve more therapy can cost more.

  • Yes, we are a regulated profession in Australia. We have to register with AHPRA (the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency) and the Chiropractic Board of Australia, which is tasked with public safety and practitioner competence. AHPRA protects the public and sets standards for us to adhere to.

  • The short answer - YES.

An adjustment is just one treatment modality used in our sessions (we do soft tissue work, rehab, muscle activation, form correction, postural correction, and ergonomics too).

It is very important for us to stress the importance of being treated by a qualified professional, who is regulated by AHPRA, as a professional will identify which joints need more movement and adjust those specific segments. There are certain conditions where adjustments are not necessary, or could even be contra-indicated, hence the importance of being assessed by a regulated practitioner.
