Meet the chiropractor: Dr Adam Logan offers chiropractic solutions in Pagewood, Sydney
Dr Adam Logan is a Strongman, Crossfit and Gym junkie who enjoys treating athletes and fitness fanatics. Based in Pagewood Sydney, Adam takes a holistic approach to chiropractic solutions. After all, it was the endless little niggles and injuries playing sport as a young Scotsman that inspired Adam to turn to chiropractic for his profession. At Sydney Spine and Sports Clinic, we want to be part of helping you live an active and healthy life. We practice an evidence-based approach of chiropractic care that in turn enables you to make informed and educated decisions about your health. After all, success finds those that lead their own health and wellbeing – and we are here to support you all the way!
What inspired you to become a chiropractor?
I played a lot of sport as a young kid. I used to feel so frustrated by the constant stream of niggles and injuries that would hold me back. When I began learning about why injuries happen, and what I could do to help reduce them, it became the foundation for my inspiration to become a chiropractor. I felt driven to apply chiropractic solutions to help people prevent pain and injury in their own lives. After all, I’d been to chiropractors myself for sport injury treatment, so I knew it made a difference.
What are your qualifications? Do you have an area of speciality?
I achieved my Masters Degree in Chiropractic from the Anglo European Chiropractic College (in Bournemouth, UK). I also achieved my undergraduate degree in Sports Biomedicine from the University of Dundee (Scotland). In addition, I have done further training in Sports Chiropractic (ICSC, FICS) and I am a licentiate of the Sports Faculty of the Royal College of Chiropractors (UK)
How do you keep mobile?
I go to the gym, swim, do crossfit and I compete in Strongman competitions. about 4 times a week. I focus on mobility, strength training and (p)rehab exercises to make sure my body is functioning as optimally as possible.
Name one thing you’d recommend the average person does to look after their spinal health:
Movement is medicine. Deadlifts and squats are a fundamental part of ageing healthily and remaining functional and independent.
